Mission Statement

 
 
 
 
  
Vision
1.      Provide an environment that will encourage Christian relationship among men, for every man within the church and in the Dunnellon community to know how to receive Jesus as their personal savior.
2.      To encourage men to be a spiritual leader in the home, church, workplace and community.
 
Purpose:
1.      To honor God in everything we do.
2.      Grow the Men’s Ministry in such a way that we always have the human and financial resources to minister to the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of all people in our church and the Dunnellon community.
3.      Provide training that will enhance the opportunity for men to mature as followers of Christ, strengthening their daily walk.
4.      Encourage and develop men to be the spiritual leader in their home, the church, the workplace and the community.
5.      Encourage men of the church to build up the Pastor and to be available to help him in any way possible.
 
On-Going Activities
 
 
 
1.      Church Cleanup: The 1st Thursday of every month, 8am to 11am, is dedicated to cleaning up the church grounds to maintain its pristine appearance.
 
2.      UMM Executive Committee meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 11am in the Education Building.
 
3.      Adopt A Highway: The 3rd Saturday of every other month is the time the United Methodist Men gather at the church to clean up a designated stretch of state. road 40. (odd number months: Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, Nov).
 
4.      Pastors Fellowship and Lunch, 12pm every 4th Thursday.
 
5.      UMM Membership Meeting, 1pm every 4th Thursday.
 
6.      Helping Hands Ministry:  Dedicated to helping members of First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon in completing jobs around their house for which they do not have the physical and or financial resources to complete without the help of the Men’s ministry. The Ministry is specially aimed at single moms, physically challenged, widows, and the elderly.
 
7.        Men on a Mission is a vibrant group of men who meet twice a month to study material that will help us to be better Christians, men, husbands, fathers, brothers, neighbors, friends, and church members.  Our goal is to grow everyday to be more like Christ!  We invite you to visit us on any 2nd or 4th Monday at 8 am in Friendship Hall.
